E.C. Woodham is a Charleston-based author who has been writing since she was able to hold a pencil. Years later, during a high school job at her local library, Woodham discovered the Summer Beach Read genre, and she has been hooked ever since. 

 

Woodham continued to write throughout her high school and college years, but never quite finished any of the stories she started. While attending college, she was hired as a reporter for her school’s newspaper, The George-Anne, where she covered the Police & Sports beat. In 2015, Woodham graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing. She took one writing class during her Senior year, and that class forced her to show her fiction work to other people. She considers that the turning point in her writing career. 

 

Following graduation, Woodham moved to Savannah, GA for her job, and while working the night shift at the Savannah International Airport, she finally began writing her first full-length novel. A few months later, Woodham relocated to the Charleston, SC area where she finished that manuscript. 

 

Currently, Woodham works full-time as a Financial Specialist for Pinnacle Financial Partners. She published her debut novel, "The Lights Out Club", on July 26th, 2019 and is now working on her second novel.

 

Her favorite authors are Jane Austen, Mary Alice Monroe, Mary Kay Andrews, and Sarah Dessen. 

 

When she’s not writing, Woodham enjoys reading (all genres), spending time on the beach, traveling, making endless to-do lists, and continuing to draw inspiration from the natural beauty of the South Carolina Lowcountry. She also had the opportunity to be a “turtle lady” for the first time in the summer of 2018, and she plans to continue her efforts to help the sea-turtles in the years to come.

 

She and her husband, Ryan, reside in Mt. Pleasant, SC with their two dogs, Goose and Poppy.
